I am pleased to announce the publication of my second book, False Alarm: A Power Club Novella™.
Set three years before The Power Club™, False Alarm is an origin story, of sorts, for Denise, who doesn't have a super-power. Even so, she is forced to live in "the district" along with her parents and brother, Vee, who developed his power of super-speed at a young age.
At least Denise gets to ride the bus to school outside the district, explore the city on field trips, and make friends with other normal kids. She does not want to be like the powered kids, who must stay in the district, safe from those who might exploit or hurt them—much like the ants in her ant farm.
But then she starts to experience events which haven't happened yet.
Is she developing the power to see the future—the rarest power of all—or is she merely jealous of Vee's special abilities?
And what is she supposed to do when she has a recurring vision of a burning building?
False Alarm explores the idea of what it would truly be like to have a super-power. Would it be a blessing or curse—or both?
False Alarm: A Power Club Novella™is available in both paperback and Kindle editions.
